Appraising Your Jewelry

Most insurance companies have a limit for loss or theft of jewelry items unless you have a separate  schedule or rider for each piece of valuable  jewelry. The separate schedule usually requires an appraisal of each piece of jewelry by a certified jewelry appraiser. You will pay an additional premium for each item scheduled. One should check with your insurance company to find out what the value limit they provide before needing additional scheduling with appraisals on items. The limit is usually $5000 to $10,000.00. If your items are worth more than the limit, either individually or all together, you should get your jewelry appraised  and scheduled with your insurance company. Towne and Parke Jewelry provides full appraisal services with a certified gemologist.
